If you have time and want to save money, you can fly with connections through Istanbul or Amsterdam. You can find suitable flights for you at https://www.google.com/travel/flights or https://www.skyscanner.net/.
To make the long flight to South Africa worthwhile, we recommend planning at least one week. We look forward to spending time together and will make time for you from 26.10. – 02.11.
No vaccinations are required for Cape Town and the surrounding area. However, if you plan to travel further into Kruger National Park, it is advisable to get vaccinated against yellow fever in advance. As for Covid, you don’t have to worry as it is currently not an issue in South Africa. You can obtain a tourist visa valid for 90 days directly upon arrival at Cape Town airport.
In late October, it’s springtime in Cape Town. During this time, pleasant temperatures ranging from 18° to 28° can be expected. Cape Town is renowned for its strong winds, which can also occur during the spring season. In the evenings, it cools down quickly, so it’s advisable to always have a windbreaker or sweater with you if you plan on spending extended periods outdoors.
If you want to be completely flexible during your stay here, take a look at kayak.de for an affordable rental car. Your German driver’s license is suitable for renting a car and you can pick up the rental car directly after landing at the airport. Please remember that we have left-hand traffic here in South Africa! If you don’t want a rental car, you can also get around easily with Uber (taxi) here. It is very cheap and safe, and we recommend downloading the Uber app on your smartphone.
Here in Hout Bay, our small fishing village 20 minutes away from Cape Town, there is a wide selection of accommodations. We have compiled some on our website for you.
We would be delighted if many of you liked the idea of living together in a villa and having a great time for a week!
If you are interested in one or more rooms in one of the villas, please contact us as soon as possible. Of course, you also have the option to search for something completely individual just for yourselves. However, keep in mind that by the end of October it is already peak travel season here and nice accommodations get booked up quickly – so don’t hesitate too long.
Our ceremony and celebration will take place at our beautiful Suikerbossie Restaurant in Hout Bay. A fantastic place to get married with fantastic views of our mountains and bays.
For those staying in the large villas we will organize a shuttle service. All others and our South African guests can come to Suikerbossie individually by car or Uber.
We have chosen a color theme for our wedding and would ask you to stick to this color range when choosing your outfits. We think there’s bound to be a color that looks great on you. However, we don’t want to interfere with your individual style and we are happy to celebrate with you in the clothes you feel most comfortable in.
Our greatest gift is when you celebrate our big day with us and many of you travel halfway around the world for it.
But if you still want to give us a present, we would be delighted if you would support me in fulfilling Bianka’s childhood dream of spending her romantic honeymoon on a dreamy Maldives island.
The organization of our big day is in the hands of our wedding planner Tracy. So if you are planning a surprise, please ask her if and when this is possible.
If you can’t fit everything in at the reception itself, don’t forget that we have many evenings together at the White and Cozy Villa. We are always up for fun and surprises!
We have put together a list of sights and activities that you should not miss during your stay in Cape Town.
For group excursions, we can organise a minibus or you can do something on your own and call an Uber or cab. Especially for hikes on Table Mountain or Lions Head, Bianka will be happy to be your mountain guide.
The best way to get from A to B is to call an Uber. To do this, you need to install the app on your smartphone. You can then order your Uber ride conveniently via the app. It’s safe, reliable and relaxing.
